Ehsan Ali

Ehsan Ali is a founder of Venn Mediation, a mediator, and a practicing New York lawyer and dispute-resolution specialist. He also mediates with the New York Peace Institute.

Before founding Venn, Ehsan worked as an associate at a leading New York law firm on major national and international arbitration matters, and has served as outside general counsel to startups, particularly in entertainment, handling dispute resolution and contract negotiations. His clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies to emerging startups.

He holds a B.A. from American University, where he studied communications, law, economics, government, and philosophy, and is a graduate of Columbia Law School. A self-described small-town boy at heart, he grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where he learned early the value of reasoned disagreement across genuinely different beliefs.

Ehsan sees mediation as an underused path to resolutions that are more creative, more satisfying, and more durable, reached by helping people identify their real interests rather than argue their stated positions.
